The narcotic blue lily with it's intoxication smell, an ethereal flower known as Nymphaea caerulea or Egyptian blue lotus.

It was widely popular in ancient Egypt and used medicinally and spiritually in many early societies.

It was found in artworks of the Mayans who thrived between 500 B.C. and 900 A.D. This plant is often referenced in ancient Greek culture, ayurvedic medicine in India, and found in the tomb of Tutankhamen's.

From the depictions of it in ancient Egyptian artwork it can be assumed that it was used for ceremonial purposes, as well as recreational. The flower is also referred to as the “cannabis of Egypt as it is slightly psychoactive.

Wildcrafted or wild harvested and naturally organic it has an intoxicating scent, and is a natural aphrodisiac.

When inhaled the smell is deeply relaxing and has an euphoric effect. The flower is believed to enhance awareness during dream time, and also has significant beautifying effects. It is told that Cleopatra VII would take a lotus bath every day and used the fragrance in her perfumes.

THIS MONTH'S THEME IS ALL ABOUT LOVE & OPENING OUR HEARTS.

"Shen Men" is one of the master points located on the earlobe, and one of the main points on the heart meridian, located on the wrist crease.

Translated it means "Spirit Gate" and has a deep connection with the mind and spirit(shen). These two points are very calming, and can help alleviate stress, anxiety, and insomnia. The ear point stimulates the vagus nerve, while also increasing dopamine and serotonin.

Complimented by another Medicine for the Shen, Pure Rose DamAsk oil, which is a heart opener and a natural aphrodisiac, sure will guide you even deeper to those sanctuaries within your heart space.

For this Journey we will be focusing on releasing accumulated emotions & pent-up energy within the heart meridian (Shen Men), by uniquely combining specific Yin Yoga Asanas with corresponding Acupuncture points to decompress the nervous system and stimulate primary Meridians (energy highways) within the body for this months love theme.

The scent of Vanilla has been found to be the most relaxing for patients during MRI’s, out of five other popular scents. A treat to the senses the smell is probably one of the most easily recognized smells, and is often synthesized.

It is a sweet thick and dark colored oil, that has been used for culinary and medicinal purposes for centuries. It does not only smell great, but it also has many medicinal benefits.

Vanilla Plantifolia absolute from Madagascar is organically extracted from a perennial vine found in the Indian Ocean Islands. It is expensive to produce but has a strong scent, so a little goes a long way. The oil is high in anti oxidants and inti inflammatory properties. and is a common addition to skin care.
